Shelby South Atlantic Summer Party Track Day

For the second year in a row we participated in the Shelby South Atlantic Summer Party, and here’s our video from the track day at Homestead-Miami Speedway! There are some sweet cars there in the event from all around Florida, including an ultra-rare Shelby GT-H and classic Porsche 911s as well as some custom modified cars.

In the first video (Morning) we check out the car show and get the car set up for the event later on. In the second video, (Afternoon), we actually get on the track and do some testing! The car isn’t without issues though, we experienced issues with our braking system due to the system probably needing a flush and a change to our booster. We also had some issues with overheating as it was an extremely hot day and we couldn’t get decent airflow through the radiator, so that’ll necessitate some changes and upgrades.

Hey everyone! We’ve started posting a bit more on YouTube now! We’re kicking off the restart with the track day at Palm Beach International Raceway with Monkey in Paradise! In this 3-part series we instruct a student with a Porsche 911 Turbo and go along for a ride in a Lamborghini Huracan!

FLF is now a KPR sponsor!

We here at FLF are excited to announce that we are now a sponsor of KPR, Kevin Phillips’ drifting team! Kevin Phillips is a well-known and accomplished driver in the drifting scene and has recently become a competitor in the Formula Drift Pro2 series! Kevin Phillips has competed previously in D1GP as well as recent events like LS Fest and the Summer Slide drifting competitions.

Our partnership will allow FLF and KPR great opportunities to test new and existing products on one of the most demanding and harshest environments that exists in automotive racing, in addition to our own testing that we do on track and on the road.

KPR’s drift car, a Nissan 240SX S14 swapped with a Chevy LS V8 engine and a splash of nitrous oxide, will sport our products and logo on the car’s livery. We wish him well and great luck in the coming season!

Labor Day Weekend 2016! Lykan Hypersport @ C&C Palm Beach!

We’re going to be out and about again this weekend! On Sunday we’ll be at Cars & Coffee Palm Beach, we’ll be filming a few of the cars and checking out the ultra-rare and exclusive Lykan Hypersport! This car looks absolutely wild with it’s razor-sharp edges and is powered by a 780HP/708TQ twin-turbo 3.7L Flat-6 developed by RUF and has a top speed of 240 MPH. This car is only one of seven in the entire world and it’s the first car to be designed and produced entirely in the Arab world.

[Track Day] // ERSCC Autocross @ BB&T Center 2016-08-21

Today we’re with ERSCC for their autocross event at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, FL! Had a great time out here and we posted the best time of the day in F Stock with the Ecoboost Mustang!

If you’re wondering, autocross is a form of racing that takes place on a large parking lot with a slalom course set up with cones. It’s fast, fun, safe, and pretty inexpensive compared to other forms of racing. If you want to get into the sport, check out your local autocross club!

[Shop Tours] // Titan Motorsports

After Formula Drift Orlando, #TeamFLF decided to go around to a few different shops in the Orlando area to visit and check out a few of the things they had. Titan Motorsports has an awesome lobby full of the products they have to offer as well as trophies of their achievements and that badass Supra! Check out the tour of the lobby as well as what they’ve got going on in the parking lot.

[Track Day] // TheHPDE @ PBIR 2016-08-12

Went to the PBIR with the Mustang! Performed a check ride with a Miata driver to proceed to advanced and did some driving with our 2016 Mustang Ecoboost. We decided to switch out the tires from the stock Pirelli P-Zero tires to the cheaper Hankook Ventus V12 Evo2 tires, and the differences are immediately noticeable. Grip is significantly reduced and overall performance is reduced (braking, mid-corner throttle, etc). Next time we’ll be switching back to the stock P-Zeros!
